Community Garden

In alignment with Chicago’s Climate Action Plan, I led the creation of a rooftop vegetable and herb garden at our 169-unit Loop high-rise — transforming underutilized space into a living example of building-level sustainability.

The initiative supported urban greening, reduced heat absorption, encouraged hyper-local food production, and introduced pollinator-friendly plantings into a dense downtown environment. Most importantly, it made climate action participatory — inviting residents to plant, harvest, and take ownership of sustainable practices in their daily lives.

This project reflects my belief that meaningful environmental progress happens at every scale — when policy meets activation, and community becomes part of the solution.
