Leadership is greater than a title.

Over the past several months, I put my full heart into pursuing the role of CEO of the Chicago Loop Alliance. Not because of the title, but because of what I believe the Loop can become—and the role I know I can play in helping shape that future.

While I was not selected for the position, my belief in this neighborhood has not wavered. If anything, it has only deepened.

Before anything else, I want to say thank you.

To the hundreds of residents, friends, family members, and colleagues who reached out, who encouraged me, who shared kind words, who believed in me and in this vision—I am incredibly grateful. There were moments throughout this process where your support genuinely lifted me, grounded me, and reminded me why this work matters so much.

It meant more than I can fully put into words.

I’ve spent over two decades living in and advocating for the Loop. I’ve watched it change, grow, struggle, and reimagine itself. What was once a place that powered down after 5pm is becoming something entirely different—a real neighborhood, filled with life, energy, and possibility.

And that transformation is far from finished.

The Loop is on the cusp of significant residential growth. More people are choosing to live here. More buildings are being converted. More families, professionals, and neighbors are calling this place home. With that growth comes a responsibility to ensure the Loop evolves in a way that supports the people who live here every day.

That’s where I remain fully committed.

I am proud to continue serving as a board member of the Chicago Loop Alliance, and I’ve stepped into an even more active role as Co-Chair of the Residential Committee. This work is deeply important to me because residents are not just part of the Loop’s story—they are central to its future.

We need safer streets. Cleaner sidewalks. More green space. Stronger local businesses. Better everyday experiences for the people who wake up here, walk their dogs here, raise families here, and build their lives here.

I will continue to advocate for that vision.

I will continue to bring people together, to build partnerships, and to push for thoughtful, practical progress that makes the Loop stronger for everyone. And I will continue to lead—not because of a title, but because I care deeply about this place and the people in it.

This moment doesn’t feel like an ending to me.

It feels like a continuation—with even more clarity.

Thank you again to everyone who stood behind me. I carry that support with me, and I don’t take it lightly.

The work continues. And I’m all in.
