Metropolis Board President

As President of the Metropolis Condominium Association, I lead the day-to-day governance and long-term stewardship of a 169-unit high-rise at 8 W. Monroe in the heart of the Chicago Loop. I manage board operations, budgets and reserves, vendor and contract performance, building policy and compliance, capital planning, and resident communication—balancing service delivery with smart, future-focused reinvestment in the property.

The building itself has a true Loop legacy: originally constructed in the early 1910s as the North American Building, designed by Holabird & Roche in a classic “commercial gothic” style. For decades, it was part of Chicago’s historic retail-and-commerce corridor—widely associated with the fur trade era, including Evans Fur Co. and related businesses near State and Monroe—before being reimagined as residential living during its condo conversion into today’s Metropolis community.
